Facebook has turned into the greedy little child who has all the toys in the world but doesn’t want to share them.

When I post a status with a link (to my YouTube channel or to my Soundcloud page etc) it filters out who gets to see the link. In other words, it doesn’t reach all of your News Feeds because Facebook doesn’t want you clicking on an external link – taking you away from Facebook. BUT, I can reach all of you (and many more) IF I pay for my status to be ‘Sponsored’. I don’t want to have to pay to reach my audience. And I don’t want to reach 1,000’s of people that I don’t know or don’t know me, either.

Everything about what I’ve done so far has been 100% organic. It starts at home, alone with a guitar, in a room. Practice, a rehearsal, an idea or whatever you want to call it. Then a bar or party that’s willing to take a chance on some Irish fella with a guitar and loop pedals. If that goes well – then comes the networking through the gigs, friends sharing posts with other friends. More new faces show up at the gigs creating the atmosphere, all natural. Its like building blocks, but it’s all done without bribery, without having to ‘pay-to-play’. It’s done without the promoters that wouldn’t even recognize you if they past you on the street! So, yes, my point is, if you guys can continue to be awesome and keep sharing or even ‘Liking’ my new posts with songs or videos I really, really do appreciate it. It is so helpful in spreading the good word and keeping me in a job.

I love what I do, I didn’t for a while.. but I’m back on the right track with some cool new projects in store that I can’t wait to share! Thanks for reading and for all the support :o)
